The game came to me in good shape considering it was used. Just a smudge on it that was easily wiped off. As far as the game itself... It turns out I don't care for new hockey games. The older ones are better.

I expected an interesting version of this game on my PS3, according to some reviews, but was very disappointed.I played hockey in my youth and a few NHL PC versions, so that I have experience about what might be an interesting and logical hockey game. The good : Very good graphics. One cannot complain about it for sure. The bad... the rest : VERY stupid AI that makes your players escape from the action as much as possible. Our defense players turn around the opposant attackers instead of trying to hit them, our attackers trying to go back to see their goalie in their zone instead of fore-checking. The goalie can barely pass the puck to his player, etc. etc. Hey we are talking about professionnal hockey players, not mosquitos!! Can you imagine a car racer trying to go back at the starting line instead of accelerating forward? Can you imagine him taking the outside as much as possible when negotiating a curb? Can you imagine him to brake when another racer is trying to bypass him? That's the way NHL 08 reacts according to a logical game. Got it last night, for sale the day after!!

This is by far the best sports game on PS3! The graphics are fantastic and the game-play is as realistic as it can get! If you liked any older NHL games, you're gonna LOVE this one!
