5.0 out of 5 stars sims makes another addictive hit! Jan 11 2007

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This game is a terrific addition to the ps2 Sims library. The graphics are the best yet, and gameplay is as addictive as ever. One reviewer complained that the game was inappropriate for young children because of the sims' use of bathrooms in the game. Well, hmm, all I can say is this latest installment of the Sims is more toned down than any of the previous Sims games, in terms of adult type behaviours, and probably the most appropriate of them yet (nothing graphic is shown anyway). So, be your own judge of that. My advise is play it yourself to "check" it out, you know, make sure it is "ok" for the kiddies, and when you are done with it, a year or so down the road, let them play with it, knowing you have done all you can as a parent to "screen" it... *grin*

My only wish is that they included more types of pets besides dogs and cats, namely horses, which I am happily addicted to. Would have been fun... sigh... but that's OK... the dogs and cats they include as pets are terrific, with very lifelike appearance and movements/mechanics. And the "genetic" variations and possibilities are huge, giving a vast array of choices.

You still get to develop your human sims as before, with jobs and various talents. Architectural choices are great and the game lets you build up each building lot almost unlimitedly before raising a fire hazard (more so than in previous games, by far), which is fun since I enjoy the "building up and buying stuff" part. So, on the whole, definitely a 5 star game in my opinion. Can't wait for what they come up with next!

4.0 out of 5 stars Many people asked... May 23 2007

I noticed many people asking how can they get puppies or kittens..First you need to be you pets "friend" then you invite neighbors who have pets to your house(the pets must be of opposite sex and same species)then the pets need to interact for a while then you click on your pet and there will be the option to Try to Offspring with... Oh, and you'll need a pet house so they can go in... then the puppy or kitten arrives in a basket. They turn into adults in the same day they arrive so you only have a couple of hours to play with them.

I really like this game I always discover something new and exciting that makes me want to play more and more. I do agree that it takes some time to load everytime I cook or go to Town's square but its ok, overall its a great game.

A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
I just reasently got this game and at first I didn't like it because my character kept saying she was to depressed to find a job. This is my first SIMS game and I was just getting the feal for it. I made a new file and got better.Someone wrote a review saying this game is innapropreate because the sims use the bathroom and take showers. I don't think it is because it never shows anything. What is so bad about that? It is suppossed to be realistic isn't it? I'm 11 and I think it isn't bad. I have a friend and he got his first sims game when he was 8.
