This is one of my daughter's favorite books and it also the best ABC book that I've come across. Elmo tries to decide what his favorite letter is, from "D" is for dogs, "I" for imagination, and "Z" for Zoe. Each page has the letter highlighted and a reason why Elmo likes the letter. This books has a good pace and pleasing pictures. It's a great addition for anyone trying to teach the alphabet in a fun and exciting way.

not an ABC learning book Sept. 8 2008
By Vee - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is a soft cover book only good for pictures of Elmo. It does not have the letters displayed in bold fonts for children to learn. The cover is very misleading.

Cute April 18 2008
By JSlevin - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
My daughter loves this Elmo book with all the words that begin with the letters of the alphabet. Great learning tool for a toddler.

My only complaint is the pages of the book are thin and tear easily.

UNUSUALLY DISAPPOINTING July 27 2011
By Mamazabakaka - Published on Amazon.com

We have a lot of Elmo things around the house, including books. We also have several alphabet books since my 20-month-old has learned his letters, numbers and colors with many well-organized and beautifully illustrated books we've bought on Amazon. Because of this, I thought this book would be ideal. I was really disappointed when it came. For this level of book, it had too much text and each letter was just part of the text but not featured in the illustration! I had to take a marker and go through the book and add the letter as a feature of the illustration, myself. It still didn't help. My toddler grandson, who loves Elmo, is not fond of this book at all, although he loves his other ABC books (see Charley Harper's ABC's in particular.)

First ABC Book Ive Seen With a Good Story. June 25 2010
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

THIS IS NOT A BOARD BOOK. This is just a regular soft covered flimsy paper book so if you are looking for something to give to your toddler it's probably not the best thing. This has really been the BEST ABC book i have found. Most ABC books have no story just "a is for apple, b is for bat" that junk, but this book has content. An absolutely adorable concept in my opinion. The thing i DO NOT like is the last page. I don't know if this is a vintage picture or a lapse of artistic talent on the illustrator's side but that has got to be the UGLIEST drawing of Zoe I've seen in my life. It doesn't even look like Zoe. I have been drawing Zoe for like a few weeks and I could get her better then that.
