4.0 out of 5 stars An adorably SWEET story, Sep 30 2005
By RReader - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Elusive Dawn (Paperback)
Kay Hooper charms us with this adorably sweet romance where Robyn Macallister, a young widow finds a second chance at love. With a father who died in a car accident and her late husband dead due to his racing car profession Robyn is reluctant to get involved with another reckless man. However, one night at a party she meets Shane Justice unbeknowst he has a hobby for racing. Struggling with her terror of racing and her reluctance to lose another man in her life, Robyn and Shane develop a relationship. But Shane wants a commitment and Robyn is wary. However despite this, she embraces this second chance of love and is determined to fight her fear. But can she really do it?
This novel is one which is heart warming with occassional splashes of humour. A good read but not for those who crave excitment, deeper plots and action in their romance. The focus of this novel is exclusively on the couple with no hidden agendas.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read, Jun 30 2005

Enjoyed this book. The romance between Shane and Robyn was very sweet and I like that Shane shows vulnerability but is still very masculine. Makes you want to meet someone like that!

4.0 out of 5 stars What a begining!, May 4 2002

Well Kay Hooper has certainly managed to start this book with a bang! Its kinda works backwards, where the two main characters- Robyn and Shane met at a party and really hit it off. The next day Shane has a hard time trying to find Robyn and an even harder time convincing her that their meant to be together. This book is really good at the begining, but is a bit slow in the middle. Other than that its a great read!
