Paul B. Thompson is the author of numerous Dragonlance short stories and novels. His most recent books include The Middle of Nowhere and A Hero’s Justice, the latter co-written with Tonya C. Cook.
Tonya C. Cook is a freelance editor. She has written numerous Dragonlance novels and short stories as well as one stand-alone fantasy novel in collaboration with Paul B. Thompson.
Douglas Niles is the author of over 20 fantasy novels, many of which were published with Wizards of the Coast, Inc. He is also an award-winning roleplaying game designer who was part of the original creation team for the Dragonlance setting.

All in all I was really happy with this trilogy. The characters really drew me in and I enjoyed the plot line, even though it was a bit predictable at times.However, the thing that kept me from giving it a full five stars was...they need to get their money back from whoever was the editor on these books. I have never seen so many blatant typos and grammar errors in a book before. 'Now' being written as 'vow', dialogue missing quotation marks, words being duplicated (such as "I I wanted to.." ). It's not enough to detract from the overall enjoyment of the book, but it might bother some people who get annoyed at little mistakes like that.

This series was awesome! I loved reading it! Only problem that made it kind of hard to read was that the editor did a HORRIBLE job! There's about a typo on every page, if you average out the good pages with the ones with three to five mistakes. My advice is, if you're hinking about buying it, is to see if you can get it from a different publisher. However, the story itself is wonderful, full of action, and an altogether great read.

These set of books are a great edition to the dragonlance series. I would definitely recommend these books to anyone who reads dragonlance and hasnt read them yet. These books take place before the first chronicals. This series develops the story of how the elven nations split and some what about the animosity that lies as a buffer between these two nations. Each book is a great story each one was hard to put down.
