Peggy Layton, a home economist, holds a bachelor's degree in home economics education from Brigham Young University, with a minor in food science and nutrition. This book is Ideal for the FAMILY large or small. I bought it as a gift for my sister who lives in an area where the weather can be unpredictable and Winter's there are harsh. This book has lots of Great information to help keep your family prepared and ready for any crisis. Almost all of the food storage/preserving techniques do not require refrigeration or pre-cooking. There is an extensive section on keeping the kids happy and entertained as well as caring for a baby during an emergency. If you can not leave your home, there is no electricity, or you encounter a natural didaster ... there is NO need to worry or deal with stress if YOU get this book !!! A must for any family !

Format: Paperback
This book was not very detailed and the lists provided were not all inclusive. You can get better lists and infomtion just by googling the topic. This book is only for people that have never researched the topic.
