Product Description

From Amazon.com

Michael Tait's first release outside of dc Talk is not really a solo effort. In fact, Tait has invested his many talents with three kindred spirits (guitarist Pete Stewart, drummer Chad Chapin, and brother Lonnie on bass) to form, oddly enough, a band called Tait. And Empty is not just about Michael Tait simply flexing his musical muscle outside of dc Talk. It's a melting pot of ideas that produces enough smoke and fire to cook up one winner after another. From the no-holds-barred opening rocker, "Alibi," to the final track, an emotionally wrenching "Unglued," Tait not only sounds like a band, but has the soul and feel of one as well. The sound of a real band comes through in the alluring, hook-laden "All You Got," the riveting "Talk About Jesus," and the anti-racist, anthemic "American Tragedy." There's tightness in the sonic bond here that can't be had through any allegiance with studio musicians. No, Tait is a band, and Empty is anything but. --Michael Lyttle

5.0 out of 5 stars MICHAEL TAIT AND HIS BAND CAN PRODUCE MIRACLES, May 10 2004

What can I say about a band that has helped transform my families' lives since we first heard them a year ago. My family has constantly played the CD "Empty" ever since we bought it. We first discovered the group when I, my two sons, and my wife saw them play at the Billy Graham revival in Oklahoma City in front of about 25,000 people. Everywhere we go in our car we now listen to it. I didn't think it was possible, but we now have played their new CD "Lose This Life" even more. I feel that, God willing, the group could launch Christian Rock into the mainstream music scene. With all of the crazy influences
attacking our society from programs like "Jerry Springer" and "MTV", it is very refreshing to see positive mainstream influences coming from a group like Tait and a movie such as "The Passion of the Christ." I highly recommend purchasing this CD. You will be hooked by the second to third time you play it and you won't be able to stop listening to it after that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tait Rocks!, April 9 2004
This review is from: Empty (Audio CD)
Ya just can't go wrong with this CD. Even if you've never heard of Michael Tait before - if you love rock & roll, you'll love this CD. It has a little bit of everything, and Tait (the band) has such a wide range of musical capability that the entire CD is like a smorgasbord of other styles, only better and smoother.

Michael Tait and his band are well worth a listen to. I suggest giving the group a chance in your CD player. You won't be disappointed!

I'd have given it six stars, but that wasn't available.

:-)
