Great cheap card April 10 2013

Bought a dirt cheap Dell GX620 that had zero issues, aside from some static with the onboard sound. Go figure, the thing was old and worn out. Decided to get a PCI sound card to solve that problem and went for this dirt cheap solution. My windows Service Pack 3 found an appropriate driver on its own during the Plug and Play recognition of the device, but sound quality wasn't so hot.

Located the most up to date driver from[...]
Uninstalled the default driver, restarted the machine, installed the driver obtained from the above link, restarted machine, gained excellent sound quality. In my case I had to turn off the On Board sound from the Motherboard in the Bios settings, which I already knew would be necessary.

Great card for 10 bucks. All lines performed correctly, including surround sound.

Not exactly your high-end sound card, but works well for what it is, and the price was right.
Used as a replacement card for an older system.

This card was acting really funny with the sound levels in Windows 7 64 bit. Opted for the asus sonar dg, it worked great!
