I am still looking for this Fabulous book, which contains absolutely all you could wish for.
When I moved to Quebec (many many years ago) the first thing I had to do was learn to cook a la Quebecoise.......so my then Mother in law bought me The Encyclopedia of Jehane Benoit.
I returned to my Homeland UK a few years ago minus my Book, so now each time I want to prepare something a la Benoit I have to look on the Internet, sometimes I find what I an looking for eg Tourtière, Coquilles St Jacques, Boeuf Bourguignon.........most times I have to try and improvise.

I Believe that this book should be reprinted with a few correction. A lot of people would be interested!

If you have French Canadian parents. If you've been raised in Quebec, chances are that you will keep saying thoses recipes thaste just like my mom (or grand-mother.

Made wiht alot of butter and fat, this easy cook-book is almost the Julia Child of French Canada.

Very cheap recipe ... And you will have enought food to feed an army.

A definite buy
