My two boys, 6 and 8, love Encyclopedia Brown. In fact, when my 6 year old got an amazon.com gift card for his birthday, this is the item he picked! They are great stories to read aloud; great at bedtime because each little chapter takes about 10 minutes to read and it wraps up at the end -- no stories that have to be continued the next night!

I loved Encylopedia Brown as a child so when the time came to get my nephew a Christmas present I saw the books and was reminded of how much fun they were. They make you think through the mystery and try to solve it with Encylopedia. Great books!
