This book was one of many books on my list of books need for my Master Gardener course at the UofA Devonian Botanic Gardens in Alberta. It was also the most costly book I had to get, but it was certainly by far the best book. I've used it over and over again, not just for my course but also for friends wondering about some of their plants. It has EVERYTHING you could possibly want from a plant ID status. For example, height & spread, pests & diseases, Alternative names, origin, propagation just to name a few.
If you need an book with every possible Canadian plants then this book is for you! Don't worry about the price because in my mind this book should be selling for 2 or 3 times more than it is. It's well worth it!

the book provides concise information on size, shape and colour of plants and what habitat they are suited for along with colour photographs. An excellent guide if you are choosing plants for your garden or your window sill. If you are picking it up off the floor remember to lift with your legs and not your back.

Great book! It has every plant you can think of and a common names index which helps a lot because some of the scientific names are hard to remember.
The only problem is that it is so heavy you need to be sitting or have a desk to look through it:)

Love it
I got this book for Christmas on sale and love it. It is a well made book with a thorough list of plants, vines, trees and shrubs for Canada with some horticultural advice. Read more

A great resource but not what I had hoped
The book is incredibly detailed and a fantastic resource with plenty of photos and information but I am a novice to gardening and this is a bit too advanced for my needs. Read more
