A Glick ( A source of Happiness), Jun 30 2009

I am after many years of wanting to , making an effort to greatly improve my Yiddish. So today for instance I carried this book with me on a bus from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, and then on the way back from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. I had a wonderfully enjoyable time coming across words and expressions I had heard but somehow never knew the precise meaning of. This dictionary gave them to me, and much much else.
It is clear and concise.
One difficulty is that one must know how to read Hebrew letters if one is to read the Yiddish entries.
But for those who know the Hebrew letters this book should be a real 'glick'.

This book didn't help me much. I really
needed one with transliterations; this
didn't have it. My error in ordering.
I should have specified the need for
transliteration.
