Product Description

From the Studio

When a string of zombie killings hits the coast, it’s up to heroic Ulysses and his wildcard band of “luchadores” to stop the undead’s sudden and mysterious rampage. But when an old friend falls under suspicion for the murder of a young waitress, ancient grudges resurface while the killings carry on, a fiendish plot is revealed, and the thirst for vengeance becomes an immutable force. Drawing inspiration from George Romero films, 1960s Marvel Comics, and Mexican wrestling movies, “ENTER…ZOMBIE KING” smashes archetypes and emasculates genres. A true psychotronic thrill ride! --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Low budget, high fun Dec 2 2004

I was kind of resigned to Enter Zombie King! being a semi-pro cheese-fest of a movie. As it turns out, Stacey Case is a serious fan of zombies and wrestling and his movie rocks hard.

It's a simple concept, and once you accept a world in which masked wrestlers are superstars of justice and zombies roam the earth, there's nothing in the movie that sacrifices the plot for the sake of laughs. Occasionally the wrestlers serve as top secret consultants for the government, and that's cool too. Since the movie takes itself seriously, it works.

The wrestling was also fairly decent. Whoever was under those masks either had some actual training or put some time into working on their moves, which is nice. The screenwriter tossed in a couple of technical wrestling terms without being a showoff; also good. And Case clearly also has a handle on the importance of wrestling dynasties and family and honor.

Mind you, you don't have to be the mad wrestling fan that I am to enjoy this movie. My pal Chris thought it was just grand. There's honor and battle and zombies and love and at least one very disturbing kiss. The acting was a cut above what one might expect, although that may have been because most of the protagonists were behind masks.

So you aren't gonna get anything insanely good, but as zombie movies go, this is the kind of low budget movie that gives the genre of low budget zombie movies a good name.

Enter...Zombie King rocks so damn hard! Feb. 4 2005
By Andrew Pucko - Published on
Format: DVD
What can one say about this movie? It's one of the first commercial films to be made using amateur video equipment - it just goes to show you what you can do with enough heart!

This movie rocks so damn hard- masked wrestlers, zombies, hot punk chicks, gratuitous nudity and violence, and a hardcore soundtrack. It all adds up to the perfect entertainment!

It's a respectful yet fun homage to the El Santo's Mexican masked wrestler movies.

Good stuff- just get it!

Adam West batman meets WWE meets Dawn of the Dead, what else is there in life. go in with an open mind ready to laugh at one of the best cheesiest movies out there. fantasticly horrible acting, awesome soundtrack, and like any great "b" movie plenty of T&A for no reason. this movie is what makes watching a hundred bad "B" movies worth it.

100 Words on "Enter ... Zombie King" Aug. 9 2006
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Format: DVD
Wrestlers versus zombies, is this heaven? I bought this DVD the day it came out, not sure what to expect. In the best low budget tradition, it had everything: zombies, wrestlers, gore, boobs and, most important, an evil madman intent on taking over the world. Late night insomniac viewings don't get any better than this. My only qualm is the title. The DVD is "Enter...Zombie King." Why change the name? Titles don't get any better than "Zombie Beach Party."
