Environmental Change and Challenge: A Canadian Perspective is an exciting introduction to the rich, fascinating, and topical field of environmental studies. For this new third edition, respected geographers Philip Dearden and Bruce Mitchell have thoroughly expanded their coverage of basic scientific concepts, while continuing to explore a host of contemporary environmental issues. Climate change, oceans and fisheries, and endangered species are just some of the topics discussed. Increased focus on sustainable development, updated case studies, and a brand new chapter on urban environmental systems make this edition both current and cutting-edge.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, very reliable and interesting May 16 2010
Format:Paperback
This is a great book about environmental resources managing in Canada. For each topic there is at least one case study wich is very detailed. It is very interesting to bring the theory into real issues and how it was managed (good and bad points). The look of the book is attracting. theory, quiz, videos, podcast, statistics, case studies, etc. this is a book that I use at McGill University.

The textbook is fine but it was the service of getting the textbook that wasn't! I know it was an international order, but to take 1 month to get my book and they didn't even try to deliver it to my home, it went straight to the post office without me knowing. I mean I expected this book to arrive later than usual, but to arrive 1 month after I order it, and on top of it I had problems ordering it! It was really difficult to catch up in the class this book was for because of the late arrival.

Otherwise the book was brand-new and I can't really complain about the content of the book because I need it for school.
