Adventures in Space for Adults and YA, Oct 29 2006
By Geoffrey A. Landis "author and scientist" - Published on Amazon.com
Science Fiction Book club has been putting together collections of original novellas, which I think is great, since the novella (a long short story, or very very short novel) is my favorite form of science fiction, but they are hard to publish in the magaines, which have limited space. This one is a fat anthology of six novellas about one of the classic themes of science fiction, adventures in space. The idea for the anthology was to put together something that was suitable for "young adult" reading-- that is, readers younger than college age-- but with stories that are still interesting to adult readers. They got some authors I love in the book: Allen Steele, Kage Baker, Orson Scott Card, Walter Jon Williams, Elizabeth Moon, Joe Haldeman, and, well, yes, Geoffrey A. Landis. Hey, how can I not like this book? I'm in it. However, even skipping my own story, I'll still say I love it for the other six stories. (Heck, I think it's worth it just for the Walter Jon Wiliams story alone.) It's the good old stuff, with plenty of sense of wonder, but with a modern style and flavor and characters.

Over looked Anthology, Aug 16 2007
By Martin A. Healey - Published on Amazon.com
Prior author and reviewer nailed this it is a great anthology of six novellas that has been over looked and the central theme about of adventures in space by kids was a great choice.
I grew up reading the old Juvenile books and to see some new stories was well worth the price at the book club.
As a bonus the stories are still interesting to an adult reader and I hope my son who I passed on the book to will like them as well. So if you have any 7 to 12th graders who you like to give some good stories to buy this for them.
Maybe they will go on read more of the Adult books by the authors. I know I plan to look into a few.
