Sobibor for small televisions,

This is a great story- about triumph under the most extreme of circumstances. Its based on actual accounts of witnesses and has the tension and drama only a true story could provide. The problem is that the 4x3 dvd transfer is so bad it looks like a nearsighted and or drunk technician took a wonderful movie and smeared it onto a dvd in a fit of stupor. Please- see the movie on tv-but dont even think about buying this dvd unless you have a 5 inch tv.

You need to watch this movie!,

If you have never seen "Escape from Sobibor", you should! Based on an actual uprising and escape from a Nazi death camp, this movie makes the viewer feel the terror and elation of the Jewish people and Soviet soldiers who are attempting to escape. Sometimes a study of the Holocaust makes it become distant because of the sheer numbers of deaths. Movies like this one bring it back to the human element. It was a terrible atrocity that we should feel in our hearts, not just know in our minds!

I saw this movie on TV when it was first released and I have been wanting to see it again. I decided it would be worth my while to own it so I could watch it as many times as I wanted, and I'm glad I did. Thank you, Amazon!
