Having been a fan of this band from day one, I feel that i'm justified on assigning a 3.5 star rating for their debut album. Here is why:
1. The majority of these songs were released on 12" singles some years ago. Zena Kitt was the main vocalist at the time.
Those same songs have been re-done with a new vocalist, and the mixes are all much shorter.
Quite frankly, the original mixes and vocals on those mixes were stronger.
2. This album was 5 years in the making. I think we all expected much more out of such a great band's debut album.
Of the new songs on the album, "Why oh Why" is perhaps the strongest...but alas, too short.
And where are the inst/dub mixes?
Lastly, there is no physical release (cd or vinyl for this album), making it feel even less of an "album".
