Having used Bennet's grammar alongside of both Gildersleeve and Lodge's and Allen and Greenough's, and having read quite extensively in Latin, I can safely say that Bennet's grammar is the best grammar for common use in reading Latin. It is my first and favorite reference grammar, and its smaller size means that it is easily portable. This new revised edition is very well organized.

I bought this text for my Latin Prose class and used it as a reference book. Thorough but not excessively so, the book makes a good addition to other Latin texts and is also useful as a review book.
