I just received a copy of the Essential Oils Desk Reference and I would not go anywhere without it. Not only does it give so much information on essential oils and their uses but also about good practices in health like detoxing (cleansing) and eatting for wellness.
If you are looking to make essential oils part of your health regime, I would encourage you to make sure you have a copy of the EODR close!

To be honest, I had put this book off for the last few months because of some of the reviews I had read about how disapointing it was in regards to the high content of Young living products being advertised.While I have nothing against the oils Young Living carries,I purchase my oils from other sources as their are many good therapeutic quality oils if one does their homework. I finally bought the book and am very pleased at the "user friendly" set up. Most of my other textbooks that I carry from top named sources in the industry, are either very heavy reading (you almost need a medical degree) or are very vague as to what to use and or what to do with the oil. This book so far is the first one I go to as it is the most helpfull when I dont have a lot of time to study more in depth. One of the complaints in many of the reviews was about the mention of Young living blends that are always mentioned and if you are not a distributor it doesnt help you, but the author always lists the ingrediants in the blends so you can mix it yourself.I would still highly recomend this book just pass over all the promotion on the products and use the highly valuable info that is packed into this one book (that would normally take 3 or 4 books to obtain)
