Great book whether you are into French Decor or not it is very inspiring... love the photos. I just don't share the author's penchant for incorporating taxidermy in decorating schemes!

Charmante! Adorable! Jolie!,

If you love French home interiors, you'll love this book as it takes you inside diverse homes from a Provencal farmhouse to a Paris apartment to view the many ways simple French design can be interpreted. If you liked Josephine Ryan's previous book on French design, I think you'll like this book even better as it showcases a mix of actual dwellings which utilize French design and furnishings. If you like the style on the cover of this book, you'll love the book--this is one book which you can judge by its cover! I found it a French feast of design vignettes and rooms.

The is a nice sized coffee table book with a wonderful cover. The book is divided into 3 main sections: Simple French, Elegant French and Eclectic French. It exhibits traditional French style with many different views of homes. One of my favorites is the home of Spencer Swaffer, Flower Power. This home is a bright harmonious mix of French styles that will leave you cheerful and inspired.Another show stopper is the pictures showcasing La Fabrique. The extraordinary bathroom in this home has four shiny basins, hand-bevelled mirrors and a magnificent slate-floor. Through-out this book is several other pictures that left me "dog-earing" the corners of the page: a swedish buffet with the most perfect worn paint, moss covered staddle stones, minimalist stone staircase and a long zinc-topped table. Really, there is something for everyone! 7 of 8 people found the following review helpful

Josephine Ryan has come up with yet another great french book. Her first was outstanding but this one takes us into french homes of significance. As a francophile with an addiction to decorating this book pleases me in every way. A must to have on your book shelf or coffee table |
