Fire starter and Demon, Dec 2 2010
By Avid Reading in NV - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Eternal Flame (Paperback)
The Story
There is a fire starter-Igniter- in town, and Zane of the night watch hunters is sent after Jana. He is supposed to bring her back into Night Watch. On the way there is someone hunting them detouring what would have been a simple trip. Zane has to get Jana to trust him enough to tell him what is going on. The plot is thick and deception evident throughout the law enforcement chains. Zane-with the support of Night Watch-tries to protect Jana from the group hunting all supernaturals with pure hatred.
Thoughts
Each book in this series is better than the last! I was never really attached to Zane, but after this book- I'm absolutely loyal to the series! Strong caring Alpha male, strong capable woman not use to having anyone to depend on. I couldn't put this down, the pace is fast! From page one I was totally hooked! Cynthia Eden is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. The characters are complex and fascinating. The secrets of both characters kept the pages turning dying to satisfy that curiosity. I didn't expect how the book worked out, it was a surprise! Pak, the leader of Night Watch, is still a mystery... wondering if he is going to get his own book. I also liked that we saw a lot of jude in this book, Dee and Simon only made a small appearance. These books don't have to be read in order, but they do have reoccurring characters.

Another great story from Ms. Eden, Dec 19 2010

This review is from: Eternal Flame (Paperback)
This is book three in the Night Hunter series by Cynthia Eden. This volume is where we learn about Zane Wynter, a hyrid demon/human. He's been a fixture in the other two books of the series and I for one, am glad we're finally getting some insight into him. He's a hot, sexy demon and Ms. Eden has done a good job in fleshing out this character's background as well as telling the story of how he and the heroine, Jana Carter, try to bring down Perseus, an organization that wants to rid the world of paranormals.
Ms. Eden creates some truly wicked villains in this story. I, for one, enjoyed the evilness of Beth and Kelly. Their characters were well done and made the reader want to clobber them herself.
I like that Ms. Eden used the myth of Perseus to name her organization. Being a big fan of mythology, I liked the symbolism of the name for a group of people who wanted to rid the world of monsters- but did they in fact become the monsters themselves? Read this book and make your own decision on that.
I highly recommend this one.

A whirlwind ride!, Dec 9 2010
By E. Ramer - Published on Amazon.com
Cynthia Eden keeps getting better. In the world of the Others, it's hybrid-demon Zane's story from Eden's Night Watchers series. Instead of taking in Jana, a human Igniter, Zane is taken in by her. And so was I, from page one to the end, resenting every time I had to put my Kindle down. It's a whirlwind ride and I didn't want to get off. Both Jana and Zane have secrets and a lot of mistrust--and a lot of reasons for the mistrust. Just as you think everything is going to be okay, something worse happens and you have to keep reading to see how they get out of it. Or IF they'll get out of it. This story was hot and edge of the seat, with characters who jumped off the pages and into my heart.
