This is my first burr grinder and it is definitely a more consistent grind then a blade grinder
I find that there is no difference between its 9 course to fine settings
Altogether a little too fine for a press but great for drip or an espresso machine
UPDATE 6 months later = used once or maybe twice a day died after 6 to 8 months
Not worth the shipping to get it fixed

not so much.... July 23 2012
By Susan R. Mcdaniel - Published on
I bought this burr grinder for my husband's birthday. We read the instructions but still could not figure out how to make adjustments to the grind. If you like really coarse ground coffee, you will be perfectly happy with this product. Also, even though it has adjustments for the amount you can grind, the capture unit only holds a small amount. (It also is difficult to pull out from the grinder.) Needless to say, it was sent back, with a re-stocking fee and the FedEx bill to add to the cost.
