This is by far the best primer on homeopathic medicine I've seen for the general reader. With compelling logic and illustrations, Dr. Johnston (who holds a perfectly conventional M.D. degree from the University of Washington) explains why conventional medicine overemphasizes the treatment of symptoms and often neglects overall physical and emotional health. "Conventional medicine is symptom specific, Homeopathy is person specific." A must-read book that can change your life.

This is one of the most clear, understandable explanations of how homeopathy works that I have ever read. It just simply makes sense! Dr. Johnston's analogies and metaphors on the amazing healing process of homeopathy are really helpful. The book takes the confusion out of all the contradictory things I had heard about homeopathy. I never understood before why this system can cure conditions that conventional medicine can't help, and now I see how this is possible. It is so reassuring to know that Linda Johnston, coming from a conventional medical background, has so actively embraced the homeopathic medical system and shared her knowledge with us. Regardless of your opinion regarding the efficacy of non-traditional treatments for medical ailments and diseases, Dr. Johnston presents believable anecdotes of her experience that will make you rethink the possibilities.I've been somewhat "agnostic" on the subject, but my own physician recommended I read this book and I've found it very interesting and credible. I am still digesting it, but, if nothing else, homeopathy (or alternative medicine) seems to offer another potentially effective tool for the medical professional and for us victims that is increasingly difficult for any rational person to ignore. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful
