I like what I like,
By
This review is from: Everyday People (Audio CD)
Back in '71, it was one of the hottest disco records in the clubs. Disco dancers where thrilled dancing to these exotic beats and lyrics. It was out of this world. A must have in a dj's collection. Please help me acquire this CD ASAP.

Where did this go???,
This review is from: Everyday People (Audio CD)
This song's vocals kick in after a long conga intro. Pam Marsh's vocals are haunting and powerful. Don't be put off by the simple tag line, " I Like what I like". Just start moving to it and you will be convinced that this song was the main reason people shelled out for the whole album. Amazon should find this track and bring back one of the coolest, funk tunes of the70's.

There Was a Time...,
By Walter E. Aungst "It's really Bud Aungst" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Everyday People (Audio CD)
It was 1971 in San Francisco. The Rendezvous was the place to go to dance (and meet) and disco wasn't even in our vocabulary. But we knew when music wouldn't let us sit on our barstools, and the opening to "I Like What I Like" prompted a mass movement to the dance floor (even if you had no one to dance with). Get this CD in stock ASAP so I can relive that joyous time in my life!

E-Ticket to Memory Lane,
By James N. Falls - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Everyday People (Audio CD)
In 1971, I was a high school freshman exploring new music. One Of the San Francisco Bay area stations, KIOI (101.3), featured Wednesday night "Stereo Spectacular". My Dad and I would fire up the Harmon-Kardon stereo in the living room every Wednesday night and await what new treats Jim Gabbert had up his sleeve. "I Like What I Like" was the lead song at 7pm one night and we made the windows rattle! Wotta base line! I went out and got the album the next day! Played it to death many years ago. Love to get a CD copy and re-live that old thrill!
