About the Author
Roger Bennett is the co-author of Bar Mitzvah Disco, Camp Camp, And You Shall Know Us By the Trail of Our Vinyl, and, most recently, The ESPN World Cup Companion. He has written about sports, music, and culture for the New York Times, ESPN: The Magazine, and Time, among others. He lives in New York, and ping pong brings out his violent side.
Eli Horowitz designs and edits books for McSweeney's. After a childhood spent consistently losing at ping pong to his father and brother in their Virginia basement, he now lives in San Francisco.

Cool book, but I wish I'd known there were some nude (artsy old advertisting type shots, but some have full-frontal nudity) shots in the book before purchasing as I had intended to give it to my 16-year old and, possibly, a priest who enjoys playing ping pong (!) for Christmas. Needless to say, neither will be receiving it!

I got this for my hubbie as a gift and he loves it. Not a dry list of rules, but an entertaining compendium with lost of images to go with the text.

I was purchasing this book to give as a gift to someone older than myself who loves pingpong. Never thinking it would have nudity in it I ordered it and good thing I was looking through it before wrapping it. There is full frontal nudity in it. I'm not a prude but it would have been inappropriate for this particular person to receive as a gift. I gave a zero for a review because I believe there should be more of a warning that that the book contains such images given the title is about a what is basically a game most learn in childhood.
