I bought this complete study review this summer along with the 101 passages in verbal reasoning. Simply put, this is the no BS way to study for the Mcat. I followed there 10 week study guide almost to the letter (I saved all of the AAMC test for the last week) and ended up getting a PS 14 VR 11 BS 12 WS Q. I am in my last year of chemical engineering, and had not taken organic chemistry prior to the Mcat. I relied on the EK books to teach me Orgo, and although it took a little extra time it worked in the end.

My recommendation to all test takers is too not go into too much detail for stuff you know well, and plan extra time for weak subject matter. Also practise VR as much as possible.

Pros:
-Just gives you what you need to know
-Easy to read
-Good images and graphics make text more engaging
-lots of practise questions in AAMC format
-Audio osmosis compliments text well

CONS:
-Some typos (really not a big deal)
-Essentially no writing sample help (I bought the princeton review book on WS)
-Organic chemistry was a bit oversimplified in the text, and overcomplicated in quizzes. (just spend some time going over quizzes and try to figure out what is going on)

I used these books to study for the MCAT. I did fairly well (11/11/O/11) on my first try, working full time and studying in the evenings. The knowledge in these books will help you do well on the MCAT, it is nice and condense and doesn't miss too many details.

Some suggestions for supplemental studying... I found from browsing the internet, many of the Summer 2010 MCAT exams were very genetics heavy compared to practice exams. Good luck!

Worked very well for me. Information was concise, but also clear and easy to follow. I would only recommend this for people with a good background in science though, since it makes assumptions sometimes that you know basic First Year University concepts. I also purchased the 1001 questions set for Physics, Chem, and Org Chem (highly recommended) and the 101 passages in Verbal reasoning (highly highly recommended), I heard the bio one was not as good though so I didn't buy that.

Examkrackers was the only resource I used, and although there was definitely some errors and spelling mistakes, it got me the mark I wanted (and then some), so I have to review them pretty well. I would have given 5 stars but there were a lot of spelling and grammatical errors that would sometimes bother me.

This is an excellent study guide when reviewing for the MCAT. It goes into enough detail that you are able to understand without over simplifying anything. The practice exams are helpful as well as the questions in the books as you go. There is a question set at the end of each chapter so you are able to test if you understand completely before moving on to the next section. I would highly reccommend this to anyone who is looking to do well on the MCAT.
