For a $40 set, it's not bad. The board is decent, nicely made and durable. The pieces are on the cheap side, looks like they were quickly cut, stained and packaged up same day (stain has run on a few pieces). I'll put up some pictures to illustrate. All in all, it's okay and for the price, I didn't expect much.

I received this gift to myself from amazon. it was i think 25$. it came via canada post in an oversized packaging box. the surface is smooth, the pieces are what you see in the picture, fairly polished looking. I think i will go play against a computer but mirror the moves on this board, i like it.
