The writing is blah -- the changes in my life are amazing!, Feb 6 2004

This review is from: Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting: The Astonishing Power of Feelings (Hardcover)
The method in this book is amazing (although the writing is not). Since I read it four months ago, my masters thesis was accepted for publication in a world-class scholarly journal, another essay I wrote was published in a book, I found a perfect job literally without trying (I had given up after looking for over a year), my husband (who hasn't read the book, but whom I've been thinking happy thoughts about) also got an incredible new job without any effort, and our family income has more than doubled. We will be completely out of debt in a few months, rather than in years as we thought. My health has improved immensely. I am a lawyer & have a logical mind. I do not like all of the new-age-y pseudo-science about vibrations that she uses in the book, but the practice of making yourself happy & "feeling what you want" works incredibly well. Not only that, I am able to make myself feel happy & good when I want to, not just when things are going well. And I always get the best parking spaces now. I'm not joking. If you had told me last year that I would be where I am now, I wouldn't have believed you. Get this book, plow through the so-so writing, and use the theory. It's like a diamond in a paper bag.

Yes, it works!, Feb 20 2001
This review is from: Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting: The Astonishing Power of Feelings (Hardcover)
I began to read Lynn's book about 30 days ago. The book seems to be the answer to my pleas for help. I've spent years meditating, visualizing, affirming, making treasure maps, and so forth. Still, it seems I can only succeed at failure. Then I got Lynn's book and realized the problem. My attitude. My tendency to feel sorry for myself. And my constant complaining. Wow!
So, now I am simply following her suggestions. I intend what I want to have come into my life, trust it's coming, then sit back and watch. One of my biggest problems right now is that I have a huge credit card debt. But twice this week I've been offered the chance to transfer my balance. Once for a rate of 5.9%, then for a longer term rate of 1.9% Plus, it appeared I'd be needing some serious repairs on my car engine, until someone took the car for the ride and realized my problems were due to a gas cap put on the wrong way. Problem solved. Also, I did my taxes, praying I wouldn't owe. No, I don't owe. I'm getting a $3,000 refund. And I've never gotten a refund like that. I don't get it.
So, I believe that changing your attitude can make good things come your way. I've only been working on this for 30 days, but I expect things to get even better in the next 3 months. Lynn says it took her 6 months to turn her business around after applying these methods. You can't give up to soon, but you do have to get started. So try it and find out for yourself. Life is great when you're in the driver's seat, instead of the backseat driver grumbling all the time.
