I used this text in college and it was by far the most informative and easily read text I used. Hats off to the authors and contributors, job well done! I still use this book at work for reference, unfortunately other people feel its a great book and it was stolen. A text well worth replacing

This book is briliant for student of exercise physiology. The authors has manage to write it in a form that is easy to read, and makes the understanding of the subject easy. But yet it is not written in a way that simplifies the subject like so many other books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Physioz (Sports Physio Australia) - Excellent Value, Nov 9 2010

This review is from: Exercise Physiology for Health, Fitness, and Performance (Hardcover)
This text now in its 3rd edition is probably the most easy to read yet not 'dumbed down' exercise physiology text that I have come across. If I was starting undergraduate Ex. Phys again, this is the book I would like to start with. In conjunction with this, I would also recommend McArdle et al's Exercise Physiology Exercise Physiology: Nutrition, Energy, and Human Performance (Point (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins)).

Getting back to the current review, If I really had to complain about something it owuld be that I have noticed a few 'typos' and one small mis-labeling of a detailed diagram. However, I am really nit-picking here. The book is well laid out with "Chapter Objectives", easy to understand bright, colour-coded diagrams, "Clinically Relevant Information" etc etc ...
