Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum’s life is set to blow sky high when international murder hits dangerously close to home, in this dynamite novel by Janet Evanovich.
Before Stephanie can even step foot off Flight 127 Hawaii to Newark, she’s knee deep in trouble. Her dream vacation turned into a nightmare, and she’s flying back to New Jersey solo. Worse still, her seatmate never returned to the plane after the L.A. layover. Now he’s dead, in a garbage can, waiting for curbside pickup. His killer could be anyone. And a ragtag collection of thugs and psychos, not to mention the FBI, are all looking for a photograph the dead man was supposed to be carrying.
Only one other person has seen the missing photo—Stephanie Plum. Now she’s the target, and she doesn’t intend to end up in a garbage can. With the help of an FBI sketch artist Stephanie re-creates the person in the photo. Unfortunately the first sketch turns out to look like Tom Cruise, and the second sketch like Ashton Kutcher. Until Stephanie can improve her descriptive skills, she’ll need to watch her back.
Over at the bail bonds agency things are going from bad to worse. The bonds bus serving as Vinnie’s temporary HQ goes up in smoke. Stephanie’s wheelman, Lula, falls in love with their largest skip yet. Lifetime arch nemesis Joyce Barnhardt moves into Stephanie’s apartment. And everyone wants to know what happened in Hawaii?
Morelli, Trenton’s hottest cop, isn’t talking about Hawaii. Ranger, the man of mystery, isn’t talking about Hawaii. And all Stephanie is willing to say about her Hawaiian vacation is . . . It’s complicated.

So disappointing :(,

This review is from: Explosive Eighteen: A Stephanie Plum Novel (Hardcover)
Like many of the other reviews on the web, I was disappointed again. Not with the book by itself. But at the series. I am tired of Stephanie not learning how to charge her damn stun gun. Seriously, even a moron would have figured this out by now, and Stephanie is not a moron, but we just keep reading the same bungles time after time. And really, Ranger and Morellie, used to be interesting about 5 novels ago, but I am so apathetic that I can barely care less. Even the characters themselves seen apathetic, as I read in someone else's review. It almost like Janet can't be bothered to write some real interest into the characters. Come on. Morellie finds her in Hawaii with Ranger, knows shes been banging both of them, and is satisfied to punch Ranger and then go home and still and have make up sex because she brought some corned beef over? Pathetic. And then Stephanie can ask about rumors Morelli hooked up with someone else? I think i actually strained my eyeballs from ridiculous rolling. So Janet, I hope you are reading actual former fan reviews, because many many people are echoing these same sentiments. Stop reading the same tired and copied critic reviews and listen to you fans and soon to be exfans who are tired of the plot and characters never moving forward. Plug in your own stun gun and give this series a boost before its dead dead dead.

Explosive Eighteen,
This review is from: Explosive Eighteen: A Stephanie Plum Novel (Hardcover)
I was dissappointed... We've had this dynamic situation between Stephanie and Ranger since the first few books and here we are 18 books later. Morelli just found out she been with them both and doesn't say anything, come on.... he's gonna blow...and it won't be good, he's been keeping his jealousy, possessiveness and need to control her just below the surface for so long but now she broke his trust...he'll never be able to trust her again!!! Not the Italian Stallion. He would never marry her anyway unless she changes who she is.... impossible...that would be a 10 minute marriage, even shorter than her first one!!! and she goes gives him pity sex after Hawaii to saveguard her position in case the neighbour is a contender for Morelli affection... come on...she been lying for so long(mostly to herself) she thinks she can lie herself out of this jam.Stephanie and Morelli love each other, they have a long history, but she's in love with the black knight....yeesh.scary fun.. and she did exactly what she wanted to do! She's been holding Ranger back for a long time and just couldn't resist anymore. Will she take responsability for her actions. Can she stop her bed hopping now? She has a lot of growing up to do, jealous of everyone in Morelli's and Ranger's life(Jeanne Ellen), what is she emotionally arrested at 14? And it's not my fault is getting old!! Unless she takes her life seriously(nobody else can do it for her) and decides to do what needs to be done the kind of work she really enjoys(she's really good at investigating, (better than Morelli)and find a way to get paid for it, she will remain unsatisfied and living hand to mouth(what's this, she thirty something still living hand to mouth) Jeez... I found that the best books were the ones where Ranger and Stephanie were working together. ( And in bed together too!!!)What were all these suggestions made by both of them in Hawaii? Morelli has been her buffer, her security blanket from Ranger, what is she gonna do when he not there? is she gonna run? if Ranger doesn't intercept her, he knows everything!!! At the rate Stephanie is going, she'll be collecting social security before she figures out her life and her passion!!! Ranger would have been a nice character to develop. he has all the conscious awareness, mindfulness and focus only attained thruogh very painful life experiences and sorrow, plus he can read her mind,he seems really attuned to her every need but he would never put up with her bed hopping as he told her in Eleven on Top. But JE it's your story...I must say your descriptions are wonderful, you can actually see these characters and feel what they fell. my hat to you.... just wish the characters and story line would mature... anything Stephanie does (BEA or Investigation)funny stuff will happen to her...she's Stephanie... and somehow even with all his walls around himself, Ranger will not be able to resist the challenge to prove to her he's the better man for her!!! and help her out and she will find a Ranger she never thought, even in her wildess dreams existed!!!I can't take 6 to 8 books before anything happens, her saying it's complicated and the men not saying anything...enough is enough.... so the ball's in your court JE can you rise to the challenge? Your Plum Novels fans are really getting impatient!!! I think we have had enough of the ridiculous( vampires, hobbits, vordo and love potions) these belongs in Diesel and Lizzy's fantasy world and I personnally have no interest in them..
