This is not Scorpions,

This review is from: Eye II Eye (Audio CD)
The album cover looked suspicious. It was not a good sign. Then came music itself, but wait, something was wrong with it. By the track #4 I forgot I was listening to new Scorpions' CD; I thought it was some R&B band playing. Frankly, it is beyond me why the supergroup would release something like this even if they attempted to be 'modern'. Loosing fans is easier then gaining them and it looks like not many people dig their new material. On a brighter note, they did seem to realize how bad it was and did not include any of the songs from this album in their playlist when they toured last summer and still rocked. Hopefully, the experiment with the direction and sound on this album will not last.

Forgettable at best,

I am a Scorpions fan and have been for at least two decades. This album flew by me when it was released and got little airplay anywhere so it fell off my radar until I stumbled across it recently, after their summer tour this year. It is underwhelming to say the least. The music is hapless and unsuccessfully tries to bring in elements of electronica into songs that later try to redeem themselves with guitar. So far no one has successfully been able to blen electronica with rock guitar and I'm afraid the Scorps fail here too. I salute them for trying but I wouldn't be surprised if they themselves would rather forget they ever recorded this one. An "interesting experiment" at best.
