This is a very informational guide to St. Petersburg, Russia. We are crusing there and wanted a good map and basis to decide our tour of the city. Love it! It also has a plastic covered pull out map with the key places. Perfect!

Maybe this could work if you're coming in for two says on a cruise, but if you want to spend any quality time in S P, look elsewhere, the is not enough information to make any choice as to which sights to see, how to see hem, where o eat, etc. The aps are useless, as is the short Russian phrase guide.

Been a fan of the Top 10 guides for years. It's perfect if you're going to visit an area for a week or less. Though it's named Top 10, there are various "top 10" groupings within the book...like top 10 parks, top 10 museums, top 10 self-guided tours, etc. Sprinkled with photos throughout, you can easily visit 30-40 sites within a city and learn about them before you arrive. Good info on transportation, customs, etc. In other words, just right for el touristo. Enjoy! Oh, by the way: it's format (long and narrow) allows it to fit in a big pocket or fanny pack.
