4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable and interesting Jan 13 2010

Format:DVD
I received this as a Christmas gift to go along with the previous two series of the F word. In this series, all the usual cast are present- Gordon, the amateurs who think they can cut the mustard in order to cook at Claridge's, Jean Baptiste, Janice, Gordon's special dinner animals (this time it is pigs), and celebrity guests. The structure of the show is unchanged from the previous two seasons, and the show downs between the special guests and Ramsay are delightful. As for actually utilizing the recipes offered by Ramsay in the show, I haven't as a lot of it seems more elaborate my simpleton's kitchen can withstand. Overall, I thought it was just as entertaining and enjoyable to watch as the other two, but there was one thing that stood out for me. Gordon Ramsay, Mr. Arrogance and Intestinal Fortitude, berater of vegetarians, goes deer hunting and cannot bring himself to shoot a deer, but he will glady serve venison as a dish in his restaurants and watch as his pigs, turkeys, and lambs are taken through the slaughtering process. Another interesting thing is his attitude, which while still present, seems slightly more mild when compared to the first two seasons. Whether or not this has anything to do with the competency level of the teams appearing at the restaurant is best left in the eye of the beholder (I think it does).
5.0 out of 5 stars Gordon Ramsay at his most entertaining. Mar 2 2012

I have the entire F Word series, one through five. I highly recommend the entire series. Gordon demonstrates how to make all the items served in the F Word restaurant. The menus are up to Gordon's high standards and look delicious. The programs are quirky. Gordon is shown to be a much more caring person on the UK series of shows, although he still has a definite edge to his personality. The UK apparently has much laxer censoring that the USA because, although the F Word is supposed to stand for FOOD, the other work is used extensively by Gordon - no bleeps here folks. Gordon is one of the most talented and demanding chefs on the planet and if you can put up with his verbage and fanatical dedication to perfection - there is a lot that can be learned from him.
5.0 out of 5 stars The fun Gordon Ramsay Jan 23 2012

Gordon Ramsay comes across as funny in the F word series. It seems he genuinely has a good time. There is the anger and curse words that he is famous for but a lighter side of Gordon rarely seen in his U.S. shows.
