About the Author

JAMES DAVID JORDAN is a business attorney in Texas and was named by the Dallas Business Journal as one of the most influential leaders in that legal community. He holds law and journalism degrees as well as an MBA from the University of Illinois and lives with his wife and two teenage children in the Dallas suburbs. Forsaken is his second novel.

I enjoyed reading this novel. There is element of suspense in the story line that don't let you put the novel down till the end. I especially was touched by the part related to Loneliness and Easter ducklings. Some elements in the story seems far-fetched. I was looking till end a better explanation of terrorist odd demand but none was provided. Also the action in Lebanon in last chapters also seems out of place.
In conclusion, I will give this book three stars for keeping the suspense and development of the main characters.

Jordan has done a good job at character development in this intriguing, fast-paced novel. There is a great romance storyline, an engaging suspense element, and a realistic picture of redemption. It was fun to read a (fictionalized) behind-the-scenes account of the life of a televangelist who makes unexpected choices.
