Better then the original Clan Saga, July 5 2004

This review is from: The Fall of Atlanta (Paperback)
Let me start by saying I love the original WoD and VtM. I read the whole Clan Novel Series (the 14 original books) many times. This is better. Adding in information from other sources (The Book of Nod) and a bit new stuff that is fun as well. By far the best feture of this book (as well as its brothers Eye of Gehenna, Bloody September and End Games) is the way the editors pulled out the chapters of the original books, time stamped so you know when the chapter happens, and put them all together in chronilogical order (Spelling...sorry). Fall of Atlanta is a great opeining and a must read for people who want a feel for the revisions between Vampire the Masquerade 2nd Edition and the 2nd Edition Revised. The characters are the best I have ever read and it leaves you wanting so much more.

Stories have held up well, Mar 19 2012

I remember waiting anxiously each month back in 1999/2000 when the original Clan Novels were being released. They were an excellent series and I was sad when the set got lost in a move. Having gotten the itch to read them again earlier this year I decided to get the collected editions rather than re-purchasing the standalone novels. I'm glad I did. Having the story set in chronological order has made it a lot easier to follow. Especially if you're like me and don't have the time to obsessively follow a series like you did when you were 20. :-)
I received the first book a few days ago and I'm happy to report that the story has held up quite well in the 10+ years since I originally read them. It was quite a treat revisiting some of the great Vampire the Masquerade characters again - especially since they no longer exist in the current games.
I've seen this book going for over $60 new and I don't know if I'd be willing to pay that, but I was more than happy to fork over the $20 I paid for my copy.
