Book Description

Feb 11 2011
Every legendary villain has a story of intrigue and a character ultimately more flawed and fascinating than his hero counterpart. These fallen angels are no exception: cast
out from heaven, the subversive spirits in this deck have committed at least one of the seven deadly sins to secure their place in the legions of the damned. The cards in Nigel
Suckling’s oracle are similarly rich with experience, and devilishly direct: Zepar, the angel who makes women love men, reveals the complications of an affair; Gusion, who
can discern the past, present, and future, calls upon you to let intuition rule; while Shax, who has the appearance of a stork, warns you to protect your wealth. Choose a card for daily insight, or lay them out for a reading, just like tarot—and you will find that your readings have depth and veracity. The accompanying book reveals the card’s meaning, and explains each angel’s history. The illustrations, by artist Sarah Perkins, have been specially commissioned to evoke the dark charm of these fascinating, mysterious creatures, all of whom offer a special message for you.

• Angels are the new vampires—and angel cards are now more popular than ever.

• Ahead of the “dark side” trend—no other Fallen Angel cards yet on the market.

• In CICO’s bestselling slipcase format.

5.0 out of 5 stars Haunting Beauty April 27 2011
By Nicole D. Mccrae - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Cards
As a tarot reader, I only use two decks out of the, over 30, that I own. Some decks, to me, are just too gorgeous to be used for any other purpose than admiring the artwork and this deck DEFINITELY fits this mold. The art is computer generated it seems, which so many decks do HORRIBLY wrong- this deck gets it right in every way. The imagery is beautiful and piercing, leaving delicate traces in your mind long after you've put the deck away.

A full 72 cards, this isn't one of those skimpy "symbolism" decks either. You'll find no new-age mumbo jumbo tacked on top of scantily clad, California, goddesses. Surrealism, the kiss of the religious, pious, and superstitious. The book that accompanies the deck not only offers spreads, but the meanings of the cards and the figures each card represents.

As far as reading with it? I have not done so, as I've said, this deck hasn't lent itself to me for that purpose. I truly believe there are some decks you just click with and, unfortunately, this deck doesn't click with me in that capacity. But it does leave me breathless and in awe.

If you're an avid tarot/oracle deck collector, I would definitely purchase The Fallen Angel Oracle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Accurate Deck Sep 3 2011
By HPSPaige - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Cards
I've been using this deck for several months now and I find the readings it gives to be extremely accurate. It's beautifully illustrated and Mr. Suckling does a beautiful job in his descriptions of the cards. The fallen angels are based on the 72 angels King Solomon imprisoned to build his temple. I personally do not believe that any angel is fallen, as I do not believe in the concept of the Fall. I believe everything came from love and everything returns to love. That being said, I have been reading professionally for over 20 years and I think this deck is one of the best. My advice as a reader is to approach the deck with the intention of having a great relationship with these angels and you will be impressed with their messages.

4.0 out of 5 stars Like this deck despite name July 30 2011
By kavanava - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Cards
To be honest, I love the artwork on Tarot/Oracle decks and was attracted to this deck, but the name turned me off. I thought it might be negative, appealing to the shadow side of things, but was pleasantly surprised. The artwork isn't bright and sunny, but is an interesting collage of images that I would call a blend of classic, mythic, and gothic images. The cards and book are straightforward. An angel is named and one or a few words to help your intuition. Some examples. Card 2, Agares: strength, tourmoil, Basic message from book: Gather allies for the inevitable conflicts ahead; card 34 Sabnock: discretion, message: Restrained strength is called for. Wait for the challenge to come to you; card 24, Bune: adventure, message: Eloquence and wisdom will bring success in a new venture. If you enjoy somber images this deck might appeal to you. I thought the cardstock was a bit thin, but that appears to be par for the course on most card decks these days. The outer box is study and I like that it will stand up to years of use.

17 Dec 2011: I uploaded a few pictures of the cards so you can see what they look like. Not all decks will speak to all users. I've tried a few readings with it and like that Nigel Suckling created cards that teach our challenges are just lessons on our spiritual journey. I can't say that they will be my main cards for my personal readings, but I can see that they might be used to examine some questions from a different viewpoint. I hope the pictures and review help you decide if this deck is for you.
