5.0 out of 5 stars The band manages to get better with time. Dec 11 2008

i dont write professional reviews. so if you want a professional opinion on this album, dont read this.

I have been listening to these guys for quite a while now, following the releases from we are the lazer viking on up. I like all their releases quite a bit but one thing different about this band than a lot of other bands is they actually manage to put out better releases than their last with each release. Hopefully these guys dont come down with what i like to call "miss machine syndrome" anytime soon and keep up the good work. Their early material was more or less fast paced noisy type stuff, use of blast beats, time signature changes, a lot of synthesizer and keyboard use, which gives them an identifiable sound. Think early Daughters meets early Horse the Band. Their newer stuff holds on to this sound throughout the record with like "cool-down periods" but it fits.

p.s. the cd ends in the middle of an uprise, i had to check the song length on amazon before i realized these dudes created a build up, and decided to cut out and that is how the cd ends. i personally think it is hilarious.
