Do Not Buy or rent this,
By
This review is from: Family Guy: It's a Trap (DVD)
I did buy this and after watching it a couple of times I have come to the conclusion that this movie can be summed up in five words. To quote Luck from episode 4 "What a piece of Junk!!!!" Others might think different but all the time wasted on head nodding really killed this one.

Like Jedi, the weakest of the Original Trilogy,

This review is from: Family Guy: It's a Trap [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
We all knew it was coming, the final chapter to the Family Guy Star Wars saga! It's A Trap follows the same concept: favourite Family Guy character portray favourite characters from Star Wars. Now there's a twist: Running out of original characters presumably, the cast is now peppered with characters from both American Dad and The Cleveland Show as well. If you're not a fan or not familiar with those shows, don't worry. It won't spoil your enjoyment. It's A Trap had moments that were as funny as any previous Family Guy Star Wars. It also head moments that were as dull and uninspired as you can imagine. It was very much a rocky ride, but luckily the good much outweighed the bad in this episode. Likes: As always, the surprise of what characters are playing who (which I won't spoil, google it if you must know). Many celebrity cameos (again I won't give you spoilers). The Emperor rocked. Looked awesome in blu-ray and I'm really glad I bought it. Ample bonus features (similar to previous installments). Even the Trivial Pursuit challenge was fun for one viewing. Dislikes: Yoda. One moment where Peter/Han snaps and torments three Imperial officers...just took it too far. A few jokes that went on too far. Pick it up and complete your trilogy. Having seen how great it looks, I kind of wish I bought the whole trilogy on blu-ray and ditched my old DVDs. 4 stars.

the weakest of the Family Guy SW spoofs,
By
This review is from: Family Guy: It's a Trap (DVD)
The first 2 Star Wars spoofs were generally well done and got plenty of laughs from me as well as multiple viewings. This one it seemed they just stopped caring and as other reviewers are saying, it seems they just kept recycling jokes from the previous 2 installments. They also try to do something different by incorporating characters from other shows including American Dad and The Cleveland Show...all these characters they bring in add nothing to the episode and aren't even worth a laugh all in all this 3rd installment got a total of 2 small laughs out of me and I feel they were more out of pity than anything else to justify the purchase to myself Not sure where they went wrong on this one but maybe they just milked the Star Wars thing a little too hard and should have stopped while they were ahead
