5.0 out of 5 stars A True Love Story!, Nov 26 2011
By M. Palmer "Michelle P." - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: A Family Man (Mass Market Paperback)
This story was sooooo sweet! Maggie suffers so much pain and heartache in this story. Her ex husband wants visitation of their son, but she's so afraid of letting go. Her mother is ill and she takes care of her. Several tragedies happen in her life, and helping her through them all is her ex-boyfriend...

Adam and Beth have been through a lot as well. Adam's wife died just six months before, and his teenage daughter is in need of a mother as she faces all those boy problems. Adam goes through the parenting the best he can without her mother's help...

SPOILER BELOW!!!

Adam realizes the moment he sees Maggie after all those years that he still loves her. In fact, he never stopped loving her. Oh, he loved his deceased wife with a passion, and he always would; but he loved Maggie as well. BUT, there are a lot of issues that need to be resolved. The main one: Maggie is not a believer.

KUDOS to the author for how she handled this story! She did not allow any physical signs of affection to show until after Maggie became a Christian! I loved her conversion experience, and I especially enjoyed Adam's witnessing her asking Jesus into her heart - Now, THAT was romantic!!! I know that every book must end with a proposal, but I am wondering if this one should have? He said they still had a lot of healing to do, so I think the author should have left it open, then added an epilogue as two years later - wedding...But other than that, this was a heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, heart-lifting story of hope, healing, and promise!
