3.0 out of 5 stars not an original Famous Five, Aug 24 2008
By John Willoughby "Zebrafish Mutant" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Famous Five and You: Search for Treasure No. 1 (Hardcover)
This is not so much of a review as a piece of information for prospective buyers.

This is not an original Famous Five book but a reworked version in which the reader can make choices and has to move ahead or back to numbered sections according to his/her choices.

I quite like the idea of books like these, which allow the reader to enter the story and change it (albeit in a very limited way), it helps to make the young reader think about the choices that the characters make.

However in this case some of the choices were somewhat tame and pointless and overall it didn't add anything to the story. My daughter requested that we stick to the regular Famous Five series.
