What a mistake this DVD was. It's not as if I set my sights too high going in. Heck, I knew it was a collection of short films (ie: ultra low budget) and knew it would be a rough ride. However I hoped that I'd at least find some interesting stories and a little substance behind them. Nope. Nada, zip, zilch. Of the seven shorts on this DVD, the only two that are even remotely worth mentioning are the entries titled "Inside" and "Mr. Eryams", and that's largely due to the concepts behind them, rather than their execution. I don't know what happened with the advent of digital video, but some of the films here look as if they were shot on Super 8 stock. Bad, bad, bad. What's worse is that all the shorts rolled up together barely make an hour's worth of viewing time (I actually think it's less), AND, as if that wasn't bad enough, the extras that they tack on the DVD (interviews with Stan Winston and Clive Barker) are recycled from other DVD releases. You can find the Winston interview on the DVD of Dead & Buried. Give this one a wide berth.
