Review
"The latest volume in Realms of Wonder, skillfully edited by Toronto writer Julie E. Czerneda, collects 19 thematically linked stories. Although many of the writers are new or little-known, there's not a single dud in the collection. In fact, it's among the strongest anthologies of fantasy fiction in recent memory. . . none of these stories is anything less than solid, and most of them soar. Highly recommended for any reader."

"...well worth the purchase price just for poignant, thought-provoking, powerful stories such as House of Cats, Mountain Challenge, Eggs for Dinner and Last of her Kind. These stories make quite an impact."

"Fantastic Companions is overall an enchanting read, interspersed with stories to make you laugh, cry, or think deeper about things you may never have thought of before, This is one of those books to be read with a flashlight under the covers at midnight."
