The system didn't work in the long haul,

I first read this book in my teens, twenty-five years ago. I thought it was wonderful and I based a large part of my life and who I was on its instructions. It worked to some extent - people told me I was very feminine. Well, being feminine didn't do me much good. Here I am, twenty-five years later, with a husband who refuses to work or be a father to his children. I am the family's breadwinner and the children's guide and disciplinarian. My husband lives at home like a overgrown teenager who lets Mom bear all the responsibilities. I feel like I've been duped. I based my life on system that didn't deliver for me.

One of the best books I have ever read covering the delicate relationship between husband and wife. Every woman should read this! In fact, I have already purchased and mailed to two of my best girlfriends... Along side this book, I also grabbed her book for teenage girls for my future daughter - wish I had this a young woman!

Be smart and read this book before you get married and save yourself heartache. This is an excellent book that has worked for me. If it can work for my marriage (we were inches from a divorce), it can work for you. I'm SO grateful to my friend for giving me a copy of this book; I am 100% happier as a result. This is a book for real women though not those who want to be a man or whimps. This book also requires you to really look at yourself and stop centering everything around yourself. This is tough to do especially for women in today's society. If you can do it, the rewards are terrific. Good luck and happy marriages!
