Everything about this book was GOOD!, May 24 2004
This review is from: Fatality (Mass Market Paperback)
If there is one good thing about this book, it's everything. It's got a perfect blend of components such as mystery, suspense, and the element of surprise. The whole storyline and plot are described completely and sensually throughout the chapters. I not only liked this book because of its genre-mystery/horror--but because of how everything fits together in the end. From the moment I picked up the book, it held my attention and forced me to keep reading. And there's one word that I remember most-silence. Almost the entire story revolves around the silence of a young girl named Rose and her struggles against law enforcement when she has nothing to say. Caroline B. Cooney did a wonderful job of creating a story that seems real, almost like it might have happened. It was definitely a movie-worthy book. If it kept me reading, it could keep someone watching-the different twists, spins, and the desperateness to know more would have people on the edge of their chairs. I think that if people liked this book the way I did, they would be grasping it with sweaty palms and really getting into it. This is an excellent book for young adult to adult because its content is appropriate for anyone. There is not really any offensive language at all, so, I do not believe that it is in any way bad. I would encourage everyone to read this book if you're looking for something that will have you reading for a purpose!

Don't judge a book by it's cover !!!, Jan 6 2004

This review is from: Fatality (Mass Market Paperback)
"Don't judge a book by it's cover!!!" That's what I found out when I saw this book. It looked boring. Fatality...this book is a great book for people who like mystery, good, and twisted stories. My first opinion of this bood was proved wrong. When I started to read this book, it just pulled me in. I read it all day and all night. I just couldn't stop. The author of this book is a really good writer. Caroline B. Cooney wrote other books like...Losing Christina: Fog, Losing Christina: Snow, and Losing Christina: Fire. I have not read all of these, but I will. This book is a book you would want to recommend to your friends. I did.

One of the best!, May 27 2003
This review is from: Fatality (Mass Market Paperback)
If you like a suspenseful book, one that keeps you thinking long after you're through, then Fatality is definitely a book I would recommend to you. Filled with action, horror, crime, and clashing personalities, this book is awesome! It's one of the best I have ever read, and is my new all time favorite! =) Fatality is just one of those books, that no matter how hard you try to you can never just put it down. It keeps you thinking, and at the end of nearly every chapter, it leaves you in suspense. Caroline B. Cooney has created a book with what seems like an extremely misleading plot at first, but later, the pieces all fit together to form one spectacular puzzle. Within this puzzle are pieces that don't seem to fit until the very end. Even after the book is finished, you'll still go back and think, "Wait a second..." or "Oh that was the secret she was keeping!" With an array of colorful characters, wonderfully detailed and vivid description, and a whole lot of suspense and mystery, Caroline B. Cooney's Fatality is one I would recommend for everyone.
