Father Ted is about three priests who live together on a bleak island in Ireland. He has been sent there after a questionable accounting transaction (inferred that he committed some sort of financial fraud and now he has been given perhaps the worst parish as a punishment). The older priest is Father Jack, a grizzled drunk who will drink Toilet Duck if nothing else is available, and Father Dougal who is innocent and clueless (if you have kids, they will love Dougal). Rounding out the group is Mrs. Doyle, the insistent housekeeper. The humour is sharp and crazy, and the acting is first rate. My son howls with laughter at this show - I would sometimes be concerned and the language - for me 'fec' sounds a little too much like the f-bomb. That aside, I have yet to meet someone who did not find this show hilarious. The collection is pretty consistent, none of the dropping off in quality that you sometimes get in series.
