Praise for Fearless

“As a rule, we don’t endorse books or movies or anything regarding the command where I work—and Adam Brown worked—but as the author writes in Fearless, ‘you have to know the rules, so you know when to bend or break them.’ This is one of those times. Read this book. Period. It succeeds where all the others have failed.”
—Anonymous SEAL Team SIX Operator

“Adam Brown’s zest for life led him down a few dark alleys and more than one dead end. Kind-hearted and wild, Adam led a life that lacked direction. God, a woman, and the U.S. Navy gave it to him. Fearless is a love story...several love stories: a man for his woman, a warrior for his team, parents for kids, and soldiers for their country. There is no greater love than that a man lay down his life for his friends. Be warned—reading Fearless will change the way you see the world.”
—Stu Weber, veteran Green Beret, pastor, and author of Tender Warrior

“When people know they are going to die, often their one regret is that they didn’t say ‘I love you’ enough. Adam Brown never had to worry. His life was about love: love of God, family, friends, country, his fellow SEALs, and the Afghan children who worshipped him. In his latest book, Fearless, Eric Blehm does a marvelous and moving job uncovering the man—the men—beneath the SEAL mythology of elite, rock-hard warriors, renowned for their courage and skill. The SEALs in Fearless hug their children, seek comfort from their wives, wear Batman briefs, answer to names like Big Bird and Fozzy, mourn lost buddies, and risk their lives to rescue civilians from the field of fire. This is a stirring, revelatory, heartbreaking story.”
—James Campbell, author of The Last Frontiersman and Ghost Mountain Boys

“This is not another SEAL book about ego; this is a powerful book about perseverance that will absolutely inspire everybody. Adam was a warrior in the truest sense—courageous, compassionate, intrepid, and humble. And his dedication to God, country, family, and the Brotherhood was genuine and exceptional. This book will motivate you to challenge yourself to be…fearless.”
—SEAL teammate of Adam Brown, BUD/S Class 226

“There is a quote from the Bible etched onto the memorial that stands in the shadow of World Trade Center steel that resembles a massive trident: ‘Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”’ That was Adam Brown. Fearless is a clear and deeply honest portrait of an authentic American man who lived and loved with an intrepid personal velocity. For most of us, the failures and disappointments in life take their toll. Not for Adam Brown. He vanquished all life’s heartbreaks with faith, humility, and hard work. His commitment to his family and his friends helped forge Adam Brown into the rarest of warriors. Long live the Brotherhood.”
—Kurt Johnstad, screenwriter, Act of Valor and 300

Fearless stands unique among works of modern combat literature through author Eric Blehm’s masterful weaving of a fallen Navy SEAL’s professional war-fighting life with his complex personal victories and travails. Rich in detail and captivating in its honesty, you won’t put Fearless down once you read the first page. Read it and prepare to learn a whole new world of life as a Navy SEAL.”
—Ed Darack, author of Victory Point

"Fearless is a vivid account of one man's journey from all-American boy to all-American hero. Blehm's writing takes you beyond the battlefield and right to the heart of the personal battles, sacrifices, and triumphs of one of America's elite warriors. Anyone looking for an inspiring story of inner strength and courage will be richly rewarded by this book."
—Eric Greitens- Former Navy SEAL and New York Times best-selling author of The Heart and the Fist

"Be prepared for the full range of emotions as the true adventures of a real American hero demonstrate that 'with God, all things are possible.'"
--U.S. Navy Chaplain Timothy Libertay

I have read many of the books about SEALS, special forces, snipers and specific events in Iraq and Afghanistan, and have found a few of them to be well written and worth recommending as "must read" books. FEARLESS however, is in an entirely different category that rises well beyond "must read". The book slowly envelopes you and is exceptional in bringing the spiritual nature of elite warriors to the readers emotional senses. In trying to build an understanding of why we go to battle, and the threat that some of the current enemies our western society faces, this book is positively surprising. I'm thankful for Operators like Adam Brown, AND Authors like Eric Blehm. Highly recommended...

Like the others that have commented on this book I have also read a number of Spec Ops books. This one surpassed the others on so many levels. Adam BROWN was an inspiration to read about as an operator, a friend, a man of faith and a family man. The trials and tribulations he over came to become a part of one of the most elite fighting forces in the world was nothing short of astonishing. Definitely one of the best, if not the best, books I have ever read.

Eric BLEHM provides an account of not only BROWN's accomplishments but also his tough times. Highly recommended

FEARLESS: The Undaunted Courage and Ultimate Sacrifice of Navy SEAL Team SIX Operator Adam Brown by author Eric Blehm is a most captivating and gripping story captured with emotion and detail. A hard book to put down, and even harder to read without shedding tears.

The Navy SEALS is one of the most elite military teams in the world. It's the envy of most boys, and have been the foundation of many fictional characters in novels. But there's no fiction in this book.

Christian, Warrior, Navy SEAL, and American HERO, Chief Adam Brown, in his final act of bravery, died trying to engage enemy fire away from his team who were pinned down and under heavy gunfire. In doing this, he saved the lives of his unit but paid the ultimate price. Chief Brown's team was able to eliminate all the combatants who were shooting at them.

The author introduces the reader to Adam prior to joining the military and describes how he was always an adventurous individual and daredevil - from jumping off bridges into lakes to jumping off roofs into trees, Adam was 'Fearless'.

Several months after Adam was killed serving his country, most of his unit also died when their Chinook was shot down in August 2011, in Afghanistan.

I commend the author on this well written book, and have prayed for Adam's wife, children and family. Blessings to all the men and women in uniform.

I read a lot of books each year, this is by and far at the very top of my favourites list. Very top! The depth of Adam's compassion and spirit are beyond description. What an incredible story of passion, commitment, love, humour and faith.

No matter how low the human spirit can be dragged down, only proves that the same human spirit can rise to unimaginable heights, with desire, focus, and gritty determination. This was what I read through Adam's story. Eric Blehm, you did Adam, Kelley, Nathan, and Savannah proud. His entire family and extended family gained a glimpse into who the man really was. The last chapters of this book were heart wrenching to read....I had to hold back the tears many times. Thank you for sharing Adam's story....what an incredible example this man set for his children and everyone who had the incredible pleasure of meeting and knowing him.

This was one of the easiest books that I can recall reading. Adam Brown was obviously an amazing human being with an uncommon capacity for compassion. He was by no means perfect, in fact he had his share of demons, but what he accomplished, against the odds was incredible.

The book does have a fairly strong theme of Christianity and may not be for everyone, but Adam's life story is so compelling, I highly recommend Fearless.

I could not put this book down from beginning to end! I was taken through a flurry of emotions while reading about the life of Adam Brown and his family. This is a special book about a special individual who wanted the world to know his vulnerabilities and mistakes as well as his extraordinary accomplishments.

The world will be a lesser place with the loss of Navy Seal Adam Brown....may he rest in peace.
