About the Author

Christine Cushing is a trained chef who graduated top of her class in the Grand Diplôme program at Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne Paris, France. She has worked for Four Season's Hotels, Magna International, the King Ranch Health Spa, and Toronto's Scaramouche restaurant, where she was pastry chef. She has taught at the Kitchen Studio, operated her own cooking school, developed recipes for Gusto magazine, Starbucks, and Ace Bakery, and worked as a demonstration chef for KitchenAid Canada, Northern Telecom, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Cushing was the host of Dish It Out!, an interactive cooking show that aired on Life Network and Food Network for three seasons. She is currently the host of Christine Cushing Live, which airs on Food Network Canada.

This Canadian author has some GREAT ideas for branching out of the daily ho hum cooking we often do. I stumbled on it when renting a condo in Arizona, and came home missing the book. There are a few super recipes to add to your weekly meals that will step up the way you eat. This gal has great tips along the way, and the book makes it clear that she has been teaching cooking. Well worth the amazon price.
