Excellent talent!,

This album is wonderful - it's got the upbeat songs, the slower songs, and they're all fun to listen to. She has written or co-written all of the songs and I appreciate someone who can write such great songs, as well as sing.

So here it is-Taylor Swift's sophomore CD release. This young lady is currently riding one heck of a rollercoaster ride, with sellout concerts and album sales for this, and her first CD as well, in the millions.
I would also like to point out what a difference 3 years in age can make; specifically between Taylor and the young lady I often associate her with, Miley Cyrus. If you look at Miley's career right now it's hard to figure out whether she's trying to become "Hannah Cyrus" or "Miley Montana"! There's no doubt as to what Miley will soon be looking for-respect as a legitimate artist, something Taylor had since her first single was released a little less than 3 years ago. Where Miley is best known as the TV character that will no doubt come back to haunt her as she tries to grow and mature as an artist, Taylor Swift offers us the real deal-a creative and artistic young lady full of sweet country/ pop music. My last words on Miley; have you ever heard her being interviewed on radio? God, what a nightmare. Please do us all a favour, Miley, and shut up! Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, after all Justin Timberlake escaped the shackles of the Mickey Mouse Club, but unfortunately so did Britney! I'm just not a fan of Mileys-but then again, I'm not a nine-year old girl either. Anyway, back to Taylor; most people would be familiar with the first single released off this CD, "Love Story", it's a great song that became a huge crossover hit and to this point, it's reported that this song has been downloaded more than three million times. Taylor definitely knows how to write a hit. The songs "Fearless" and "White Horse" were also released as singles; both remind me of The Dixie Chicks but that's not to say the songs are just copycat tracks-far from it, they can both stand on their own merits. If you looked at the CMT charts lately, you would have seen that Taylor had two songs listed simultaneously; "You Belong With Me", which is a great song with these cool lyrics, "She wears short skirts, I wear T-shirts, she's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers". This could very well be her biggest cross-over hit because it's more pop than country. The second song was "The Best Day", and it's tre-cool music video actually uses clips of Taylor from when she was a little girl right up to fairly recently. This song totally screams Suzanne Vega (and that's a big compliment) and again, the potential for the crossover from country to pop hit is amazing. I'll wrap up by mentioning just a few more of the songs on this CD; Taylor's duet with Colbie Caillat, "Breathe" is great, "Forever & Always" is so Suzanne Vega as well and "Change" lets Taylor rock out pretty good. This CD is sweet, refreshingly wholesome and a lot of fun, and I'll bet Taylor Swift is the same.
