Book Description

There is much concern today with how we feed our children, yet one out of four American children is obese. The consumption of sugar is at an all time high, and children drink soda at alarming rates. Now there’s a book to help get your family back on track nutritionally.

Feeding the Whole Family: Whole Foods Recipes for Babies Young Children and Their Parents, is a cookbook that teaches how to prepare simple, delicious family meals centered around whole grains, beans, fresh vegetables and fruit. Each recipe ends with suggestions on how to make adjustments to the dish to make it palatable for the youngest family members. Each family member can enjoy the same dish - the baby gets fresh food, young children learn to appreciate food that will help them stay healthy and parents get the nutrition they’ve been wanting but haven’t known how to get. Finally - only one meal at dinnertime!

Feeding the Whole Family is filled with practical information for parents. Included are insights on breastfeeding, starting solids, lunch box ideas, basic instruction on whole foods cooking and the importance of eating organically.

From the Publisher

The purpose of Feeding the Whole Family is to educate parents of babies and small children about how to feed their children whole, natural foods so that they will grow up strong and healthy. And to encourage families to make the effort to sit down and share fresh, delicious meals together. It is a valuable ritual.

From the Author

I raised my daughter with the whole foods regime expressed in Feeding the Whole Family. The proof is in the pudding. Today she is a teenager and I am impressed each day at how strong and healthy she is. She is rarely ill and plays on one of the top 8 soccer teams in our state. I believe that if we start our children on wholesome food that nature provides, they build healthier bodies, stronger minds.
