Feeling Loved is full of thought -provoking information. The book made me think of that distressed, alienated lonely young man that killed six of his peers in Isla Vista. He had two caring parents, affluence, his own BMW, yet did not FEEL loved and he spent a year planning his revenge.
He had a therapist and a lot of folks knew of his alienation. If someone in his inner circle only had read this book, there might have been a different ending to his sad story.

Dr. Jeanne Segal's new book called Feeling Loved: New Ways to Overcome Stress and Find Happiness does everything the title tells us to expect from it. One of the major tenets of the book is that being loved is different from feeling loved.
Throughout the book Dr. Segal gives us true life stories that serve as examples for each of the components of love she highlights. The book talks not only about the problems related to the lack of love, it provides us with a toolkit and exercises that get us where we want to go in our own development. This is a 5 star book and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to give and receive love.
